Returns & Warranty
Last updated: August 26, 2026
This page covers returns, exchanges and warranty. If you're not sure which one applies, email max@bien.watch and we'll tell you which.
Returns & Exchanges
You may return an unworn watch, in its original condition with all packaging, papers, warranty card, and accessories, within 7 days of delivery for a full refund of the item price (excluding original shipping, if any was charged). To start a return:
- Email max@bien.watch with your order number and the reason for return.
- We'll send a prepaid, insured return label for domestic orders. International return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless the return is due to our error.
- Once your watch is received and inspected (typically 3–5 business days), we'll issue your refund to the original payment method. Refunds can take an additional 5–10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank.
Watches showing signs of wear, adjustment marks on the bracelet or strap, engraving, or missing components are not eligible for a refund; in those cases we'll return the watch to you.
Deposits & Reservations
If you reserved a watch with a deposit rather than paying in full, your deposit is fully refundable any time before your watch enters production. Email max@bien.watch to cancel a reservation. Once a watch has entered production against your deposit, the standard 7-day return window above applies once you take delivery.
Exchanges
If you would rather exchange than refund, we can swap the dial color or the strap within the same 7-day window, subject to availability. If the new configuration differs in price, we'll invoice or refund the difference.
Warranty
Every Bien NYC watch is covered by a 4-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, starting from the delivery date. Warranty service is free of charge and includes:
- Movement defects affecting timekeeping or function under normal use.
- Case, crystal, dial, hand, or bracelet/clasp defects present from manufacture.
- Faulty crown, pusher, or water-resistance seal failures not caused by impact or misuse.
The warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear (scratches, strap wear, discoloration from use).
- Damage from accidents, impact, drops, or unauthorized modification.
- Water damage where the crown was not fully screwed down, or where the watch was worn beyond its rated water resistance.
- Battery replacement (not applicable — all Bien NYC watches are automatic/self-winding) or service performed by a watchmaker not authorized by us.
- Loss or theft.
To make a warranty claim, email max@bien.watch with your order number, a description of the issue, and photos or a short video if possible. We'll advise on next steps, which may include mail-in inspection and repair at no cost to you for covered issues. Having your watch serviced by a third party during the warranty period voids remaining coverage.
